James O. Fuller is a Professor of Counseling at Indiana Wesleyan University, and is currently experiencing his third-third of life. He grew up in South Georgia, attended college at Asbury majoring in Psychology, got his M.Div. at Asbury Theological Seminary, and his Ph.D. in Counseling and Counselor Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He taught Counseling at UNCG for 4 years before moving to Indiana to teach at Indiana Wesleyan University. He was the Dean of the College of Graduate Studies (later the Graduate School) for 12 years during his time at IWU.
Jim’s interests over the years have revolved around helping people make significant transitions in their lives. He has always loved working with individuals and families who are managing cross-cultural transitions. The Sincera Project is his most recent focus. Jim has been married to Mary Pat for almost 40 years, has two grown children and four grandchildren whose ages range from 6 months to 13 years. Jim loves to read, be outside, and ride his motorcycle. He has taken numerous motorcycle trips, including in his college days when he spent two summers working with the United Methodist Board of Evangelism. During each of these trips, he and a friend rode approximately 20,000 miles doing programs, retreats, youth group meetings, and worship services. |
Emily has a passion for seeing the vibrance & possibility come in unexpected and oft-forgotten places, especially through the beauty of community and in the unpredictable messiness of life. She believes fiercely in the power of grounded hope that chooses to see the reality of brokenness and to see beyond to the life that is emerging.
Emily is a professional coach who holds her certification through the Lark's Song Academy. She also holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and a Masters of Student Development Counseling & Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. The emerging themes she loves to coach around include imagination and creativity, abundance, courage, and hope. Emily runs her own coaching practice with a focus on coaching individuals and small communities, and leading group workshops around the topics of purpose, strengths, vision, and developing imagination. Her favorite flower is a Dandelion because of its simple beauty that springs up in the most unexpected and foreboding places, and from time to time she plays with Legos to refresh and develop her imagination. |
